What is the 3K Program?

In New York City, you can apply for 3-K in the calendar year that your child turns three. If you have a child born in 2023, you can apply now for 3-K programs that begin in fall 2026.

How to apply for the 3K Program?

Step 1

Go to www. Myschools.nyc

  • Step 2

    Create your account by following the few simple steps.

  • Step 3

    Complete the dashboard for your child with the basic info requested.

  • Step 4

    When choosing a school for your child, enter the code for your child’s school, in the box where the school code is requested. You can apply for more than one school at a time.

  • Step 5

    Complete the rest of the questions to the best of your ability (remember that income doesn’t affect the registration in any way.

  • Step 6

    Confirm the information by checking the 4 boxes at the end of the application.

  • Step 7

    Submit!

  • Step 8

    You will receive a confirmation that your application was submitted.
